Job Description As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Nampa, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, while living our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations promptly to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and campus events as assigned, verifying credentials when required and directing individuals to appropriate resources and/or departments.
  • Complete patrol and incident reports, maintain required logs, and assist with security-related checks such as door and gate status, lighting observations, and key control procedures as directed.
