About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Driver in Sugar Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a strong visible presence and outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor access points, gates, doors, and/or visitor areas to help control authorized entry, support traffic flow, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using established post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access control areas, parking locations, and the perimeter, noting maintenance issues, unsecured entry points, and/or other security-related concerns.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and/or incident documentation related to visitor management, deliveries, and daily security-related operations within a food and beverage location.
