You will drive and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, customer-focused communication. Working with a caring, people-first team, you will document activities, support site operations, and bring integrity, reliability, and innovation to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, public areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with site personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with directing foot traffic and vehicles to support orderly operations.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and service calls, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts in a timely manner.
