About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Coordinator in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor access points and assist with checking for proper identification, visitor direction, and/or adherence to location rules and posted requirements.
  • Support students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by offering directions, answering questions, and communicating observations or concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
