About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver for Unarmed Patrol in Oregon, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support site access expectations, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service with integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and escalation per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, operational areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification and/or visitor logs, and directing deliveries and contractors according to site requirements.
• Complete timely documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
