You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter incidents, and assist with access control and visitor interactions while delivering strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, offering a dynamic role where you act with integrity, stay agile and reliable, and contribute through teamwork.
Requirements
- Possess a valid commercial driver’s license.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to alarms, incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and reporting findings to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the warehouse, yard and perimeter, including checking gates, dock doors, trailer areas and parking areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Help to control access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and directing deliveries to designated check-in points.
- Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, access control and intrusion alarms, and complete daily activity logs, patrol reports and incident reports as required.
