About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Entry Control in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic transportation location, where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and help maintain orderly site operations. In this access control role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, platforms, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Document daily activities, access-related events, and/or unusual conditions, and support security-related procedures for deliveries, visitors, and employee movement throughout the location.
