About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Credential Desk in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, and other security-related policies at a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other access-related activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the lobby areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and other security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, access exceptions, and daily activity, and support badge, key, and visitor management processes as directed by site procedures.
