About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Checkpoint Control in Baldwinsville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer. You will verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle entry, and support a professional gate or lobby presence. Conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver clear, customer-focused communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, processing visitor and vendor check-ins, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining entry logs and documentation.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing deliveries and truck traffic by confirming appointments, checking load and seal information as required, directing vehicles to designated areas, and communicating with site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production, warehouse, office, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe behaviors, and complete required reports and shift documentation.
