As a Security Officer Driver Area Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, offering the chance to support a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity every day.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential theft concerns, and help to deter unwanted behavior through visible presence and professional interaction.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
