About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Full Time in Fort Myers, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment within a bustling logistics and distribution location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Conduct screening procedures for individuals entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with access procedures and responding to inquiries.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the location management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when necessary.
Monitor designated entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location staff to support a secure and orderly environment.
