About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Loss Prevention in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting access control measures. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
X ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
Assist with screening individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and support site operations.
Monitor and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences within the logistics and distribution environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities and incidents according to site protocols.
Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers to provide guidance and enforce site-specific policies.
