As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Assist visitors, contractors, and employees by providing security-related customer service and information regarding site policies and procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, responding to emergency situations as needed in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location, documenting and reporting details to Allied Universal management and site contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the logistics and distribution facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or security-related hazards within the location.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment and support operational needs.
