About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Reception Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and managing access to the facility. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and authorizing entry as appropriate to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by the site and Allied Universal.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with clients, staff, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities according to site procedures when appropriate.
  • Support the overall security-related efforts of the location by remaining alert and attentive to unusual activities or conditions at the front desk.
