As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will remain visible, interact with staff and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with screening and inspecting individuals, packages, and materials entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to questions and requests for assistance.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and maintaining logs as required by site procedures.
  • Document and report all observed irregularities, incidents, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist in implementing evacuation or lockdown procedures as directed.
