About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Entry Monitor in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and professionalism. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage access control at the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and directions as needed.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel as necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Support emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the logistics and distribution environment.
