Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Entry Control in Rancho Cucamonga, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned areas within a logistics and distribution location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
- Verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the site, following established Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with access-related inquiries and directions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any unusual conditions.
- Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client site policies.
- Collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills.
- Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment.
