Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in Pontiac, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and support a professional security-related presence. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate clearly with teams on-site. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and visitor management requirements at a technology workplace.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, review badges and/or credentials, and document authorized access in logs and approved systems in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as access control panels, CCTV monitors, and communication devices, reporting unusual activity and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, data center areas, and perimeter as required by the location, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
