About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology-focused location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and assist with access control, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior and/or situations encountered during patrols.
  • Support access control procedures, monitoring entry and exit points as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting guidelines.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related concerns specific to technology, media, and telecom environments, adapting responses as appropriate to the location.
