About The Position

As a Security Officer - Warehouse in Romulus, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, support access control and badge checks, and report security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will be a visible presence that helps to reduce incidents while partnering with site teams. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by verifying identification, directing traffic flow at gates and/or dock areas, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident documentation, and patrol activity logs, and communicate noteworthy conditions to the next shift and/or site management.
