About The Position

As a Security Officer Distribution Center Screening in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established security-related procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening results, visitor activity, and/or delivery information in required logs or systems.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to identify unusual conditions, support loss prevention efforts, and follow client-directed procedures.
