About The Position
As a Security Officer - Distribution Center Patrol - Full Time in East Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated logistics and distribution locations to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution and logistics location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activity or hazards encountered during patrols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding any incidents or concerns.
- Maintain detailed records and logs of daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities observed during patrols.
- Support the implementation of security-related protocols and contribute to a secure environment for personnel, property, and assets at the logistics and distribution location.
