As a Security Officer - Distribution Center Patrol in Barrington, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct regular patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly flow of people and vehicles.
Report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
Assist with access control and visitor management, following site-specific protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while representing Allied Universal at the location.
