About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center - Access Control in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
X ray screening experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Screen individuals, packages, and/or cargo entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the logistics and distribution facility.
Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with team members and site personnel to uphold a secure environment and support operational needs.
