As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at entrances and gates, verify credentials, monitor activity, and document security-related events. You will perform routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with drivers, visitors, and onsite teams. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver through teamwork while always acting with integrity.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges and/or credentials as directed, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and coordinating with site contacts for authorization.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic including employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or removal of property by following post orders and established access protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, docks, yard, and perimeter, reporting irregular conditions, damaged fencing, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations per site procedures.
