As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to maintain visibility. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors as part of access control procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions and responding to inquiries while adhering to site-specific policies.
  • Perform regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow established emergency response protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as required to address security-related issues within the location.
