About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operator in Cumberland, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor security-related systems, coordinate responses to calls for service, and support officers on post with clear, calm communication. You will help maintain access control, track activity using computer and/or tablet tools, and provide professional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Security Experience ‐ 1+ Years.
  • Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Operate a dispatch or communications center by monitoring alarms, cameras, and other systems; answering phones and/or radios; and routing calls for service to on-site personnel and/or local responders as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details, prioritizing events, and coordinating appropriate notifications and response.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports for incidents, dispatch activity, and system checks, escalating concerns through the designated chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
