About The Position

As a Security Officer - Emergency Dispatch in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor alarms and cameras, manage radio and phone communications, and document activity to support smooth operations. You will help maintain a visible, professional presence while partnering with site teams to help deter incidents and assist customers and staff. Bring an agile, reliable, innovative mindset, deliver through teamwork, and lead with integrity.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 3 years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor alarms, access control activity, and/or video systems; receive calls for service and dispatch mobile and/or on-site personnel according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document security-related activity in logs and incident reports, including dispatch actions, communications, and follow-up steps.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
