As a Dispatch Officer at a utilities location, you will support critical operations by monitoring systems, coordinating responses, and communicating clearly with site teams and first responders as needed. You will perform routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while assisting with access control and visitor processing. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have 5 years of industrial security experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department services experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a utilities operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor dispatch and communications systems, including phones, radios, alarms, and video surveillance, and coordinate notifications and response according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Control access for employees, contractors, and deliveries by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining logs, and directing traffic to appropriate areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking gates, doors, and critical infrastructure areas to help to identify unusual conditions and/or policy concerns.
