Job Description As a Security Officer - Defense Lab Clearance Required in Gilbert, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-tech aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity, respond to alarms and/or irregular conditions, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. You will support a professional environment through strong customer service and accurate reporting, while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an aerospace and defense environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter routes, parking areas, and restricted zones, as directed by post orders.
  • Perform access control support by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and documenting visitor and vendor activity per site requirements.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation for Allied Universal and location management, including observations from patrols, alarms, and access control activities.
