Job Description As a Security Officer - Defense Facility Clearance Required in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Requirements
- Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
- Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Assist in controlling access to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
- Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or contractors as required.
