Security Officer – Data Processing Center
About The Position
As a Security Officer – Data Processing in Coraopolis, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading technology-focused location, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and employees. Your role involves managing access control, responding to inquiries, and providing outstanding customer service. By remaining visible and attentive, you help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming and professional environment that reflects our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and employees in a professional manner, providing customer service at the front desk in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by client procedures.
- Respond to incidents and/or critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Communicate with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding security-related matters and any unusual activity observed.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of visitor check-ins, incidents, and other security-related activities at the front desk.
- Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following location-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Support the overall security-related operations of the location by remaining alert and attentive to any potential concerns.
