About The Position

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Monitor in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a financial institution location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related situations, and support access control measures. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity within the financial institution environment.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or criminal activity.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
Complete daily activity reports and incident reports as required by site policies.
Follow all site-specific protocols and guidelines to maintain order and security-related standards at the location.
