About The Position

As a Security Officer - Data Center Driver in Anderson, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols while staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary passes per site policy, and directing individuals to the proper destinations.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and other security-related technology for irregular activity, documenting observations and escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces and the perimeter, reporting maintenance issues, policy violations, and unusual conditions to help to deter unauthorized activity.
