About The Position

As a Security Officer - Customer Service Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy hotel location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests and staff with courteous service and clear communication. You will document observations, support front desk and operations as needed, and represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture that puts people first, while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel location.
  • Respond to guest issues, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest-access areas, lobby and amenities, back-of-house corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations; document observations and report concerns per site procedures.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and assist with lost and found and other guest service requests when appropriate.
