As a Security Officer - Cultural Institution Patrol in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a cultural institution location. You will remain highly visible, providing exceptional customer service and communication to visitors and staff. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter incidents and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor the environment for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established guidelines.
- Support the overall security-related operations of Allied Universal by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with inquiries from staff, visitors, and/or guests.
