As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and issuing visitor badges as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and visitors to address inquiries and provide information about the location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and/or unusual activity to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site management.
