Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the TSA.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related screening procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct screening of individuals, baggage, and belongings at embarkation and debarkation points to help to deter prohibited items from entering the cruise operations location.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the cruise operations environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Collaborate with cruise operations staff and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and maintain order.
Document and report security-related incidents, irregularities, and suspicious activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
Provide information and assistance to passengers, crew, and visitors as required while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
