Security Officer - Cruise Operations Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Cruise Operations Patrol in Cape Canaveral, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cruise Ops, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within cruise operations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while demonstrating our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity through teamwork and a people-first approach.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the cruise operations location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, guests, and visitors.
- Support emergency response protocols, including evacuations and first aid, as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings.
