About The Position
The Security Officer at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is responsible for ensuring the timely and professional delivery of security services to the hospital. This role involves protecting life and property, monitoring assigned areas for suspicious or threatening behavior, and may include guarding patients who may be a danger to themselves or others. The officer may be assigned to fixed posts and is responsible for monitoring pedestrian or vehicular traffic at various points throughout the hospital. Duties also include parking vehicles, checking doors, providing escorts, and assisting police officers and other hospital staff with various services.
