As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue badges and/or visitor passes, and monitor activity around controlled areas. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, document security-related events, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and guests. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing arrivals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Screen inbound and outbound traffic as required, including coordinating with shipping and receiving for deliveries and pickups, and monitoring for prohibited items in accordance with site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking lots and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
