About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Desk in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge access procedures. You will remain visible, conduct routine observations, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential checks, and/or other security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for personnel, contractors, and/or deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response protocols appropriate to the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with awareness of operational areas, gates, fencing, and other access-sensitive points.
  • Document activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
