About The Position

As a Security Officer - Credential Desk in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, check credentials, greet drivers and visitors, and support orderly traffic flow at the gate. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control and other security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit for employees, visitors, and/or contractors by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in areas.
• Manage vehicle and trailer access at gates and/or loading areas by checking driver credentials, documenting inbound and outbound movements, and communicating with site personnel regarding deliveries and pickups.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, and perimeter as required by the post assignment.
