As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and monitor activity to help discourage security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible, and document observations with clear communication and customer-focused service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access to the property by verifying identification, checking credentials, managing visitor registration, and directing guests to appropriate destinations per site procedures.
Monitor and operate access control systems, key control procedures, and/or visitor management platforms, and document issues for follow-up.
Staff entry points and reception areas as assigned, maintaining an orderly flow of foot traffic and vehicle traffic and helping to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, door forced open alerts, unauthorized access attempts, and/or tenant concerns.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, stairwells, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or hazard conditions for reporting.
Monitor cameras, intercoms, and/or building systems as assigned, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or property damage per post orders.
Complete shift reports, incident reports, access logs, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate with property management, building engineering, and/or local authorities as directed to support incident response and tenant service needs.
Provide directions and general assistance, support deliveries and move-in or move-out activity per procedures, and help maintain a professional environment at the site.
