About The Position

As a Security Officer - CRE Bike Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic commercial real estate location. Your presence and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You may also be required to ride a bike as part of your patrol duties. Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to ride a bike as part of job responsibilities.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to tenants, visitors, and staff.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
