As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in Fairbanks, AK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly to support a secure environment. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with visitors, employees, and/or the general public in a professional manner while conducting security-related screening procedures at the location entrance.
Perform screening of individuals entering the premises, which may include the use of metal detectors, x-ray machines, and/or manual inspection of personal items, in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity or behavior to the appropriate authorities.
Maintain a visible presence at the screening area to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Document and report all security-related incidents, unusual observations, and/or emergencies according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors with directions and information about the location and its procedures.
