As a Security Officer - Government Building Rounds in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help minimize disruptions at the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activities or conditions, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
- Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and local authorities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as required by site procedures.
