Job Description As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screener in Lihue, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, conducting access control, and performing X-ray screening. Your presence and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment while maintaining order. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X‐Ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the location.
Screen individuals entering the premises to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as required by the site.
Assist in emergency response activities as appropriate to the location and post profile.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and any incidents encountered.
Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and/or law enforcement as needed.
Follow all instructions and protocols provided by Allied Universal and the client site.
