As a Security Officer -Court Screener in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will help manage entry by screening visitors and belongings, verifying credentials, monitoring cameras and alarms, and documenting security-related activity. You will communicate clearly, provide customer service, and support public-facing operations with integrity. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military or graduate of police academy
  • Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice
  • Must possess 5 or more years of security related experience
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess unarmed class d security license
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct entrance screening operations, including monitoring walk-through detection equipment and/or hand-held wands, inspecting bags and packages as permitted, and verifying identification and access authorization.
  • Control access by directing visitors through sign-in processes, issuing temporary credentials when assigned, managing queues, and communicating entry requirements and prohibited items in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site personnel and/or emergency services as directed and documenting events per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entry points, lobbies, and nearby perimeter zones when directed, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns through the chain of command.
