About The Position

As a Security Officer - County Healthcare in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site protocols, assisting with visitor direction, policy reminders, and/or reporting of security-related concerns.
Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing routine reports, and communicating professionally with employees, patients, visitors, and/or contractors in a public-facing environment.
